Summer Reading 2026
It's Summer Reading time at your library!
This year's theme is "Unearth a Story"
Our Summer Reading begins on Friday, June 5th and runs 6 weeks until Friday, July 17th.
It's more important than ever to keep kids reading over the summer break. Did you know that kids who don't practice reading can lose up to 3 months of reading ability? It's nicknamed the summer slide! Reading just 20 minutes a day helps children retain what they've learned throughout the school year and helps them to start their fall semester more successful!
How do I Sign Up?
You can register your child(ren) at the library starting Friday, June 5th!
How does the program work?
Our BINGO-style cards are back! Read books, do things, make stuff, win prizes — it’s that easy!
You can either: print-out the board at home or pick-up a physical board from the library.
BINGO-style cards are available for:
- Kids Bingo Board (ages 0-12) (PDF) (complete ANY five bingo squares in any order you want)
- Teens Bingo Board (ages 13-18) (PDF) (complete ANY four bingo squares in any order you want)
Search for Books:
Once you’ve hit BINGO bring your sheet in to claim your reward AND enter to win a fun prize! All formats are okay, including e-books, print and audiobooks.
Please note: Try to use book titles only once per card! Challenge Yourself!
The final day to turn in sheets: Friday, July 17th, 2026
Do we need to be present to win the prize drawings?
No. We will do the grand prize drawings during the last week of July, after the program has ended. If you win, you will be notified to pick up the prize at the library. Prizes not picked up by the end of August are forfeited.

Our Adult Summer Reading Bingo encourages patrons to try out different genres and find new authors. Check out and read books from the Marlette District Library to complete a BINGO (complete ANY four bingo squares in ANY order you want). With every BINGO you get on your card you'll be entered into a grand prize drawing!
All formats are okay, including e-books, print and audiobooks.
